Who provides the service
Buzzin is operated by Ravenlab sp. z o.o., Dębowa 11, 66-120 Kargowa, Poland, KRS 0001247798, NIP PL9731122188, REGON 545003226. Contact: eryk@ravenlab.tech.
By using Buzzin (the playbuzzin.com website, the TV game, the phone controller, the mobile apps) you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.
What Buzzin is
Buzzin is a party-game platform where the TV is the stage and your phone is the buzzer. Games work as swappable plugins: the first one is a game show, more follow over time.
You can play in the browser (a TV plus your guests' phones) or through the Buzzin app on iOS and Android. The product is under active development, so features, games and decks may change, appear and disappear.
Who can use it
You may use Buzzin if you are at least 16 years old (the age of digital consent in Poland). Younger players need a parent or guardian to agree to these terms on their behalf.
By creating an account or signing up through the email form, you confirm that you meet this condition.
Playing without an account
Players join a room with no account and no payment: the code on the TV screen or a scanned QR code is enough. You do not need to give an email address or any personal details to play.
An account is only needed if you want to buy access to premium content or manage a subscription you already have.
Your account
You create an account with an email address (sign-in by one-time code) or through Google, Apple or Discord. There is no password to set, so access to your account equals access to your inbox or your sign-in provider. Keep them safe.
One person keeps one account and is responsible for what happens on it. You can delete your account at any time: email eryk@ravenlab.tech from the address it is registered to. Deleting the account ends any active subscription and access to premium content; how we handle your data is described in the Privacy policy.
What is free and what is paid
Playing is free for guests. Only the person unlocking premium content pays (usually the party host) - everyone else plays with no payment and no account.
Some decks and games are free, others require paid access. You always see what you are unlocking and at what price before you buy.
Purchases, prices and subscription
There are two ways to buy premium access:
- a subscription (weekly or monthly, for example) that renews automatically until you cancel and covers the premium content in the plan,
- a one-time unlock of a specific game, which works without creating an account.
The rules:
- Current prices are shown before you confirm a purchase. They include applicable tax and are quoted in the currency for your country.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
- A subscription renews automatically for the next period until you cancel it. Cancel through the "Manage subscription" panel on your account page, or by writing to us.
- After cancelling, access stays active until the end of the period you paid for; we take no further payment and do not refund part of a period already started.
- A one-time unlock applies to the game it was bought for. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- If we raise a subscription price, we will tell you in advance of the next billing period, and you can cancel.
Right of withdrawal
As a consumer (and as a sole trader treated as one under Polish law) you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. An email to eryk@ravenlab.tech is enough.
Buzzin is digital content delivered immediately: what you buy unlocks right away so the party can carry on. By buying, you therefore request that performance begins before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledge that once the service is fully performed you lose the right of withdrawal (Art. 38 of the Polish Consumer Rights Act).
If access did not work or the service does not match what was agreed, that is not a withdrawal case but a complaint - see the next section, and in such a situation we refund you.
Complaints
Send complaints to eryk@ravenlab.tech. Tell us what did not work, when, on which device, and which purchase it concerns (the email used at checkout or the Stripe receipt is enough).
We respond within 14 days. If the complaint is justified we fix the service or refund the payment the same way it came in.
You may also use out-of-court dispute resolution, including the EU online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. None of this limits your rights under mandatory consumer law.
Rules of use
Use Buzzin fairly. You must not:
- break the law or use Buzzin for illegal content,
- harass other players, enter offensive nicknames or draw offensive or inappropriate content,
- cheat, circumvent security, server logic or paid-content restrictions,
- disrupt the service (spam, bots, attacks, artificial traffic),
- resell access or make it commercially available without our permission.
If you break these rules we may limit or withdraw access, and in serious cases delete the account. Where a breach is obvious and severe we act immediately; otherwise we notify you first and give you a chance to explain. You can appeal any decision by writing to eryk@ravenlab.tech.
Player-created content
In a game you enter a nickname, draw and answer questions. That content serves the gameplay only: it lives in the room's memory and disappears with it.
You are responsible for what you type and draw. You grant us a free, limited licence to display that content to the other players in your room - no more than the game needs. We do not use it in marketing without your permission.
Feedback and ideas you send through the in-app form may be used to improve Buzzin, with no further obligation on our side.
Advertising and promotion
We promote Buzzin with paid campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, Google and YouTube, TikTok and Reddit, and with posts on our own profiles.
We show no third-party ads inside the game. Paid content is the only way Buzzin makes money.
We measure campaign performance with ad pixels on the site and events in the app. The pixels only start after you accept the banner, and everything around that is described in the Privacy policy.
Mobile apps and stores
You can download the Buzzin apps from the App Store and Google Play. Alongside these terms, those stores' rules apply to you.
Premium purchases run through our website (Stripe payment) rather than as in-app purchases, so complaints and refunds are handled by us, not by the store. We update the apps, and older versions may eventually stop working with the server.
Availability and changes to the service
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Buzzin is under active development: we may add, change and retire features, games and decks, and carry out maintenance.
If a change materially reduces what you paid for under an active subscription, we will tell you in advance and you will be able to cancel. Playing requires an internet connection, a supported browser or app version and working hardware, all of which are on your side.
Intellectual property
The Buzzin brand, logo, characters, host voice, artwork, audio, questions, code and all content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law.
Do not copy, modify, decompile or commercially exploit our materials without permission. You are free to post recordings and photos of your own game night on social media - we are happy when you do. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners.
No connection to earlier brands
Buzzin is a new, independent game built from scratch. We take inspiration from the spirit of classic TV quiz shows, but we are not an official continuation of any of them and we are not affiliated with any earlier brand, TV programme or app. All third-party names and marks belong to their owners.
Liability
We are responsible for providing the service properly, on the terms set by law, in particular the Polish Consumer Rights Act and the Act on providing services by electronic means.
To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damage, lost profits or interruptions caused by factors on your side (hardware, browser, connection) or by third-party providers. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights under mandatory law or our liability for damage caused intentionally.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the service, the law or the billing model changes. We will announce material changes on the site and, for people with an active subscription, by email in advance of the next billing period.
Continuing to use Buzzin after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not accept it, you can cancel your subscription or delete your account.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes are settled by the competent courts in Poland, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules, including a consumer's right to bring a case before the court of their place of residence.
